Women Power
Now the four shared months with Jasmin – our wonderful long-term intern – have come to an end. Many adventures, challenges, beautiful, sad, and funny experiences lie behind us.
When Jasmin came to us in spring, we explored which work areas might suit her well. Soon it became clear that she could be deployed in almost everything: Whether in the field, with the animals, in the garden, with the guests – she learned quickly and was simply in it with heart and soul. The men liked to take her along for fencing on the alpine pasture, and with the animals she was very precise and could soon actively support us in the barn and during cattle drives. If something was loose somewhere again or the brush cutter wouldn’t start, Jasmin disappeared into the workshop and soon after you could hear the equipment humming again. Many guests, locals, and mountain hut owners got to know her during those four months; she was also very fond of being out on Gastein’s mountains and quickly struck up conversations.
I even got to be there for the alpine cattle drive. What an adventure! On foot from the farm all the way up to the beautiful Zittrauer Alm, and making sure not to lose a single animal along the way.

I wouldn’t miss the hay harvest for anything. Thanks to all the helpers, the work was done quickly. I’ve learned how to make Krendeln – my favorite dish, Carinthian Kasnudeln, is now available in Salzburg too. And at the Play Street design workshop, I really got to unleash my creativity.
Now her practical time has ended and she will be a great asset in her social year – her new challenge. All the best for you, Jasmin. We thank you as a family, as a farm, very warmly for your commitment, your warmth, your calm nature, your humor, and for your great help in all matters.
