A hereditary farm with over 400 years of history
Our farm has been family-owned since the 16th century. The farmhouse, which is around 400 years old, has been carefully renovated and combines farming history and tradition with modern life at the Zittrauerhof.
Our farm includes extensive meadows, forests, and pastures, as well as our high-altitude Zittraueralm on the Stubnerkogel. Together, they form the basis for our agricultural business in the Gastein Valley.

For children, a farm holiday in the Gastein Valley quickly becomes a great adventure. Watching animals, discovering the children’s stable, or simply playing outside – there is something new to experience every day around the Zittrauerhof.
A children’s zip line, trampoline, playground, go-karts, tractors, and our mud kitchen area provide plenty of variety. And if you like, you can even leave a letter or a drawing for our animal residents in the children’s stable.
Sustainability that begins in everyday life
On a farm, you think in cycles and across generations. Many of our products come from our own farm or garden, and wood from our own forest is used for heating and partly for furniture.
Photovoltaics, fresh spring water, composting, rainwater harvesting, and charging options for e-cars and e-bikes complement our conscious approach to nature and resources. For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a part of our daily life.
