Getting to know yourself anew

Sometimes it’s time to be just for yourself and get to know yourself anew. To allow new paths, to fulfill long-cherished dreams and to try out what else life has in store.

A story from Dani, who has become a fan of time-outs at the farm:

I’m Dani, 49 years old, 2 grown sons and married. Professionally I work 2 days at the reception in a physiotherapy practice and on the side I offer a self-employed shopping and companion service for families and seniors.

I came to Zittrauerhof for the first time in 2017, I spent a wonderful, eventful time-out week with you.

I got to know myself anew, I was allowed to get a taste of farm life with you, approached the animals, was allowed to learn many new things with you in the kitchen, in the herb garden.

The apple harvest, every day in the morning the fresh air, the birds chirping along. I didn’t even know I had so much strength, I still have to laugh at myself about that today. After the week I felt strengthened, content, happy, relaxed.

Much of that still accompanies me in my daily life today. In 2019, I was drawn back to you for a few days. With you, I can recharge in the mountains – that seclusion, the peace, the magnificent landscape, your farm. I can enjoy time for myself. When everything at home sometimes becomes too much – mother, wife, profession, family manager, always an open ear for everyone – or now, in 2020, when Corona has changed us all, and I notice my strength is running out, I’m drawn to you.

Then I write to you dear Katharina and you say I can come anytime, I start to plan. The anticipation, I have a goal in sight, gives me momentum again.

Thank you for your lines, the photo book. We look forward to seeing you again! Katharina with family from Zittrauerhof in Gastein www.gasteinurlaub.com
