Mimi Captures Hearts

Just over a week ago, a little creature came to our farm and captured our hearts. Mimi was originally born on my brother-in-law Thomas’s farm. Unfortunately, her mother didn’t have enough milk to feed her. Since Thomas works full-time, we took the little lamb in for care. And now Mimi lives with us. In the truest sense of the word.

And since little lambs are often hungry, Mimi gets fresh milk every three hours.

It’s lovely to see how she’s growing and thriving – she comes along when we work in the garden, joins us in the barn, and at feeding times she’s even allowed into the farmhouse. If Mimi stays healthy, she’ll remain here at Zittrauerhof and get her own pen in the children’s barn.

What makes her so special? She is a clever sheep, affectionate, cuddly, and especially cheerful. After meals, she just hops around and is freshly delighted. Mimi makes you laugh, which has often been lost, especially in these times.

She’s not a replacement for our beloved Molly the spectacled sheep who passed away, but she’s such a sweet little soul that you simply have to love her.
