10 minutes all to myself on the balcony. A very special ritual that I’ve integrated into my life for some time now, to find peace and reconnect with myself. But what if the balcony is now getting old? Time for a new one!

And now the moment has come! I’m sitting on my balcony again for the first time and enjoying my 10 minutes. The sun is shining and the view of the Gastein mountains is phenomenal. The new balcony is now finished and I admire every little detail. It’s fascinating what works of art you can create from a piece of larch wood.

We do a lot ourselves on our farm, but this time it exceeded our skills and abilities! So we hired Holzbau Egger and Hans and Siegi came, true artists in the field of wood who also have a love for old farmhouses!!!

Hans tells me with full enthusiasm. And Siegi also beams when he talks about his work:

“I always wanted to become a carpenter!”.

You can see in both of them the joy and enthusiasm they bring to their work. Through their craftsmanship and patience, they managed to optimally integrate the old wood in the attic and thus make the house appear a little taller. And of course you mustn’t overlook the design of the balcony: detail-rich artistry that underscores the charm of our old farmhouse!
