What do men often imagine in their dreams? Quite a few women may ask themselves that from time to time. But there are moments when our men do let something slip. And so it happened that in December we heard about a heartfelt wish of my husband’s. A new car? No! A new machine for the farm? No? A mini pony? Oh yes! And so it was, shortly after Christmas, that Matthias, with company, brought a new farm resident to us. Far away and a long drive, but when something really matters to you, time doesn’t matter.
For my husband, horses have been his hobby for a long time, but mini ponies have their very own charm!
The breeder of our mini pony sent us a few words about breeding and especially about our new arrival “Jasmyne”:
Petra Jäger – passionate mini pony breeder
Petra Jäger from the Mini Pony Farm in the Lavanttal: “Jasmyne was imported by us from England in 2010 together with her mother Helawi Camoe Rose. She enjoyed a very carefree childhood with us and was allowed to stay at her mother’s side until her mother decided on her own that it was time for Jasmyne to grow up. Afterwards, Jasmyne moved together with other young animals of the same age into my so-called “kindergarten”. There the young animals are among themselves, can play and get up to all sorts of antics. Jasmyne always stood out very positively in the group. She has the same endless patience as her mother Cameo Rose, who is the calm centre of our herd.”
Cameo Rose also passed her love of children on to her daughter. Jasmyne loves contact with people and likes to be pampered and fussed over; her height is 82 cm. My gut feeling told me that Jasmyne has now found the perfect home with the Schwaiger family for herself and her needs. So saying goodbye was very hard for me, but Jasmyne has now found her home and her task. And that makes me very happy! We wish Jasmyne all the best and good health, and the dear Schwaiger family lots of joy and a happy time with Jasmyne and all the other wonderful animals at Zittrauerhof!
In the meantime, we’ve already gone for walks with her a few times, and she is getting used to her new home. In the Gastein Valley there are already several mini pony breeding farms, including Alois Salzmann from Tofererhof and Sepp Salzmann, a master tinsmith business and at the same time owner of the “Salty Ranch”.
