On the trail of the Easter Bunny

“Yes, but it’s not even Easter yet ….. “

….. we thought to ourselves a few days ago when we came into the children’s barn. But nevertheless, we found the first Easter nest neatly built. But instead of Easter eggs or even sweets, there are little bunnies lying there. The little ones are still well hidden in their warm burrow and are being watched over by the mother rabbit Magret, but it won’t be long before they poke out their curious little noses to explore their new home. And then you’ll be allowed to touch them very carefully every now and then.

Margret and Kuschel, the happy parents of the litter, are fortunately already experienced in dealing with offspring, so we don’t have to worry about whether they will be raised well.

Now, while it’s still cold outside, the rabbits naturally stay in the barn, but as soon as it gets warm outside, they are allowed out into an enclosure almost every day to play with the children and get a few strokes. But it will still take a little while until then.

Soon the children will be pampered with bunny massages again…

In the next few days, however, we won’t just have the nest in the children’s barn to marvel at. On Holy Saturday, we all go together to Tati-Oma’s, where we will (hopefully) find our Easter nests with a few little things in particularly beautiful spots. And it’s not just the children who enjoy the search game. We grown-ups also still take great joy in going on a search all over the farm.

And until the time comes, Easter cupcakes are being baked and eggs are being busily dyed!
