Of Kids, Calves and Foals

In spring things get lively on the farm, because every year at this time many births are due – though, more likely in the barn. This time brings much joy, as we gladly welcome each new farm resident. As soon as it is clear that a birth is imminent, we are watchful so we can help the animals in the best way possible. The nicest and also the easiest is when the birth happens without help and the drinking and the mother-child bonding work “naturally” from the start.

In these days we were able to experience beautiful moments in the children’s barn and are now happy about our goat and cow offspring. Both goats Lady and Fiona each brought a kid into the world and managed the birth well without outside help. In the children’s barn and cow barn we have now got through the hot phase of births for now and enjoy our kids and calves every day.

Next we are still expecting offspring in the horse barn and from the doe Magret and are already quite excited and will keep you updated here and on Instagram.
