Today is supposed to be the last really beautiful autumn day, the weather forecast says. That brings a touch of melancholy and you don’t want to believe it. Like busy bees, the farmers are still getting through many outdoor tasks; we wrote about that in the last story.

For us too the work is piling up, and today we took advantage of the still sunny and warm weather to cut and stack the wood for the alpine hut.

To cut and stack all the wood that was used up over the summer takes the whole day, even when several people help.

Marianne brought down a few lovely shots from the alm for us. Let’s enjoy the beautiful pictures and simply let them work on us.

I love these brown tones and the scents in autumn, they are so especially beautiful. But they also touch you and make visible that nothing in life is taken for granted and you simply have to be grateful for everything.
